I am guest editing, with David W. McIvor, a special issue of the Journal of Psycho-Social Studies on the American tradition of psycho-social theory, more commonly known in the US as psychoanalytic political theory.
The issue will feature contributions from some of the world’s leading experts in psycho-social studies, including C. Fred Alford, Kurt Jacobsen, Petra Bueskens, and others, as well as essays on some of the most challenging topics facing psychoanalytic political theory in the US, such as racial discrimination and violence, memory and mourning, and inequity and hatred.
We believe this issue will both represent and shed new light on American approaches to this growing field. The issue is expected to be released in 2019.
